L.O.S.E

Sometimes it's hard to put goals into motion. There are a lot of variables out there that contribute to why we have a hard time trying to find motivation or a reason to wake up in the morning.

Sometimes it may feel like you lose out on experiences or things other people may have. Or you see yourself being left out on trips or invites. The first thing you do is blame yourself, or consider yourself a "loser."

Like what is it about YOU? That repels everyone from you. Why do people choose not to text YOU back? Why do family and friends continually ignore you?

When is the last someone checked on you? Like your well-being.

We are a whole, are the quickest to be cliche and tell others, we are always here if they need someone. But then we find we are too emotionally invested in other peoples problems and are tired of them having problems because we face our own.

So we force, that friend, who we said they could count on us for, to seek help elsewhere, whether it be in the likes of a professional, drugs or some other form of "therapy."

Everyone feels like they will lose sometimes. And guess what? It's okay to feel that way.

Sometimes we can't be so reliant on other people all of the time. We have to push ourselves.

To lose oneself can mean that we can become so focused when doing something our sense of self is non-existent. We become so focused on our jobs, or our schooling or our duties, to distract ourselves from facing our feelings or our pain.

I've been gone for a month because I've been losing myself, but you know what I found? I found that if I was going to fixate on my objectives, it was vital that I remembered to Lose myself correctly. (L)love (O)ne (S)elf (E)veryday.  No matter what you are going through, that is essential.

I did a 5k the other day that turned into an 8k by accident(fault on the host). It was so easy to give up. But every mile or so, I saw eye candy pass by that made me want to switch directions and run with them lol. I noticed every time I wanted to stop walking forward, something beautiful and created by Jesus himself, was running towards me and into the opposite direction. I realized that is how life is sometimes. Whenever we are getting closer to our blessing, we start getting tired and frustrated, and then we find a reason to turn back or stop altogether.

The enemy will make you start to feel cold, alone, unloved, and make you isolate yourself even further from those who do love you. So remember, when you start to lose yourself, make sure you L.O.S.E(acronym explained above).

Life is hard, but you are important. Sometimes, people close to you will let you down. No one is perfect, but keep moving forward and being the best that YOU can be. And know that I am HERE through this blog, to motivate you and hopefully speak to you.

7 Reasons Why

The 7 Reasons Why Black People Always Die First In Scary Movies I believe that we have all watched our fair share of scary movies. We’ve all seen the opening of a movie, with a woman in the shower. She hears a noise and says, “hello?” And the audience sighs because she gave her location away to the killer. Now imagine a black woman in the shower. She will have her shower cap on and will hear ALL. If she understands anything, it won’t be a hello. It’ll be a goodbye, she will either fight or flight. Imagine your top ten picks and then try to recall the black character in each those films. Did they die off first? Were they killed towards the beginning or middle of the movie? Yeah, let me clue you in as to why. We do not play by any of the rules:  You know those typical ghost stories? Where there is running water, or the doors are slammed or closed behind you while you're brushing your teeth? Yeah, WE don't play that. We would confront it. "Look here g

Cruise

"Baby you're a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruissseeeee." Every time I think of the word "cruise" I think of this song. They say that a cruise is one of the cheapest vacation options "one" could have. They don't mention that a cruise isn't meant for "one" person. If you want to book a cruise, you have to book for two people. Sucks right? So you could end up paying on average $212.80 per day, per passenger. So for a five-day cruise, it could be up to $2,128.00. For that price I better see Jesus walk on water. Why can't they offer cabins for just one person? There are people out there who would love to go on vacations on their own, to reflect or just because they might be single or have no one to go on a trip with. Society has a tendency to behave like you SHOULD be in a relationship. People have too much interest in other peoples lives. They have too much time to gossip, and they are obsessed with "

Push Down insecurities

One of the many perks of being a woman is our bodies. Don't you just love doing physical activities and realizing you aren't wearing the correct bra? I go to a boxing class once or twice a week depending on my health, or plans. One of the things my coach continually repeats is to "Keep it tight," meaning to keep your hands and arms boxed in and as close to your body as possible for protection. He always shouts this out at me, but I don't think he takes in the consideration that my chest stands out like 8 inches. Like coach, trust me when I say, my elbows are touching my chest, they best friends. Or when I am in a cycling class, and I'm sprinting on the bike. Like you see a lot of women that want bigger breasts and invest in push-up bras, but they really need to make push-DOWN bras. Like did you know there is a high percent chance that women will not work out, due to not finding a good-fitting sports bra, and are embarrassed by their breast movement and s
